Money, money, money grows everywhere!

The way the Democrats are spending money, you would think there is an endless supply.

Right now, as I am typing this democratic members of congress are making deals to get support for the Cap and Trade Bill. This is the bill that would tax energy output. There is more than enough material about it online for me to explain it here. This tax would eventually be passed onto all Americans.

Remember, this blog is about common sense. The proposed taxing of American energy producers would cost taxpayers trillions, yes trillions of dollars. Of course this is great for all the environmental crazies out there because this would help offset greenhouse gases which we all know is killing mother earth.

Remember now, common sense...

Obama, in 5 months, has spent 4 times more than Bush did in 8 years. Now, with Nancy Peolsi eagerly throwing her "power" around she wants to tax America all the more with the Cap and Trade Bill.

Just where do the liberal democratic Napoleon's plan to get all this money? From the backs of the general public. What happens when the country cannot support the spending? What happens when China and Saudi Arabia come collecting what we owe them? What happens when the dollar loses it's value and becomes worthless? Do you think that is an extreme?

Take an objective look at the spending that Congress and Obama have done in the past few months. An objective look is all it takes to realize we are in serious trouble.

Add to this the nationalization of health care. Don't forget we get ot pay for that too.

Common sense dictates that this has to end sooner or later both spending and taxation.

Common sense says it will only last so long. I challenge you to educate yourself, look and dig and see if there really is a health care crisis in this country, look and see if America really is worse of now than during the depression, as has been suggested by Obama.

Maybe, just maybe some of these crisis' are manufactured to further an agenda.

Our beloved President, when he gave a speech in Cairo just a few days ago made it clear that democracy is a difficult subject. Really now? Democracy and free enterprise and capitalism are only difficult subjects for those who cannot grasp them nor understand them.

When taxes are raised and government grows, free enterprise and capitalism falters.

The Death of Democracy Continued...

President Barack Hussein Obama has been on his first around the world trip as the leader of the greatest country on earth.

He apologized for our "arrogance", did not attend a Normandy memorial opportunity and bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia. Nice.

Really nice.

I may be wrong but I cannot recall another president actually bowing to an Arab. I have listened to conservative commentators and none have mentioned another president doing this. I would have loved to have read about it in the mainstream press but this particular item was not considered newsworthy.

Do not ask the White house what Obama was doing because they will tell you he did not actually bow. I guess the video footage of him doing it is not entirely accurate. Nice. Looks like a bow to me. Nice. The president of the greatest country on earth showing submission to the Arab leader where most of our oil comes from. Nice.

If you are curious as to how the Saudi press liked this; they mocked Obama. Nice.

Meanwhile in other news, the U.S. Navy Seals gained the freedom of the captain held hostage by the pirates. What happened to the pirates holding him hostage? They found out first hand what it's like to mess with the United States military.

While Obama continues to make the United States look like a bunch of idiots to the rest of the world, our military is doing it's job: protecting American citizens.

Make no mistake about it, when Obama was campaigning for the presidency, he was also going abroad and apologizing for America. What is frightening to think is that there are Americans who feel that we have a lot to apologize for.
I don't. While America has her share of faults, her share of problems and a checkered past, she is still the greatest country and should stand as a beacon for real freedom and liberty. Hence our military, securing the freedom and life of the captain held hostage of the coast of Somalia.

What does all this have to do with the death of democracy?

Our president is going to continue the slide towards socialism, allowing the U.N. to gain even a greater foothold in this country, continue with an agenda that weakens our military and continue with an agenda that, while masked, will really limit our freedoms and bring about a continued subtle hatred towards the church.

Do I sound nuts? Maybe, but where is the outrage with the things Obama is doing? Barely four months in office and he has buried our country in a debt for future generations, greater than anything Bush ever did.

It's just the beginning...

2009 Stimulus - Death of Democracy

So the stimulus package has been signed, sealed and delivered. Well...maybe not delivered just yet...

Oh I am sure the Ted Kennedy allotment will get delivered. Let's not forget the money for the high speed rail between California and Las Vegas benefiting whom? Oh and yes the money to be allotted for STD's and some rodent in San Frisco.

Be aware though, that there was absolutely no pork in this stimulus package. I forgot President Obama promised jobs through this package. We will see if jobs will be delivered through this passing or not.

Well, was it just me or did Obama, repeatedly through the media, tell Congress to not get bogged down in details about the Stimulus but just push it through? Wasn't there an urgency from him to get it passed so that millions of Americans could get much needed help? Didn't Obama stress the need for politics as usual to stop so that America can get moving again?

Naturally Obama did not want details of the stimulus revealed simply because if America knew what was in it they would be appalled. This is our money getting tossed around. Obama through Congress passed the largest spending spree in American history and they are not done yet.

Does money grow on trees? Is anyone out there wondering where all this money is coming from? Are all those who voted for Obama not questioning anything?
The future of this country is being thrown at the feet of our grand kids and no one is saying anything. Sure the conservative talk show hosts are, the republicans are squirming but what about the throngs of blind followers who voted for Obama.

If you voted for Obama I have to ask you this: are you blindly following along or will you come to a point where you start questioning things?

This blog is about commons sense. Someone somewhere down the line pays for this current government's spending. Do not talk about President Bush and the Iraq war. Bush has done nothing of this sort. In fact the double minded dems and liberals lam blasted the president for his spending on the war on terror.

Will any citizen question the wisdom of this spending spree or will the majority follow blindly along.

Obama said it was the responsibility of the government to bail out the banks and the people. Says who?

Is is really the business of the government to grow larger? Is it the business of the government to bail out lenders, who got into this mess in the first place under pressure from a democratic president and congress? Is it the business of the government to bail out people who had no business getting loans they knew they could not pay back?

Is it the business of the government to take over health care and thus eliminate your choice of doctor and treatment options? Is it the business of the government to take over the banks partially or completely thus restricting our freedom with currency? Is it the business of the government to begin a database housing every Americans personal medical history? (This is in the stimulus package that was passed)

When government grows freedoms disappear - President Bush did nothing to cause Americans to lose their freedoms in the passing of the Patriot Acts.

You watch...just watch...as government grows freedoms disappear...the death of democracy. Will any of you be willing to question or will you just learn to goosestep?

Economic woes?

Of course we are all well aware of the dire economic news that has been the forefront of every news report for the last several months. Not that any responsible news organization would over dramatize the situation or exaggerate any facts. In fact our own President has elected to offer up some drama. President Obama has said, "The time for talk is over. The time for action is now."

Appearing before the Energy Department Obama called on lawmakers, "...rise to the moment. No plan is perfect." Obama urged the Republicans to change the "politics as usual" stuff and vote for the bailout that now is over 900 billion.

Remember, this blog is about common sense. Obama and the dems have none.

This "bailout" or "stimulus" package is absolutely no such thing. What it is, is pork politics as usual. If our President had any leadership skills he would call on all of this pork to be cut. If the GOP had any leadership skills they too would ask that all pork be cut. Remember America, we pay for this "stimulus" ultimately. We pay for it. Do not forget that.

To really stimulate the economy investment would go back into infrastructure which would lead to jobs, congress should continue to lower taxes, open up drilling off the mid Atlantic and in Montana and the Dakotas as this too would lead to job creation and eventually fresh supplies of gas, approve new energy spending in wind and solar. The list could go on and on.

Instead we see a "stimulus" package of over 900 billion that is stuffed to the gills with pork. You can find these details on the Internet.

Bottom line? Obama is desperate for this to be passed so that he can look like a mover and shaker to those loyalists that voted him in. Granted, any President wants to see his agenda move forward. But this one is costly because it will not stimulate anything but taxes for future Americans who have to pay for this nonsense.

Remember folks, this is just round one of things to come. Obama is also going to move ahead with his war on capitalism and those opening salvos have already come by his proposal of putting a salary cap on business's that are receiving bailout money.

On no...another controversy

President Elect Barak Obama has asked Pastor Rick Warren to give the invocation at the inauguration. Of course for those on the modern, hip and contemporary left this was certainly a huge no-no. Why, after all, Pastor Rick Warren is anti gay, anti modern and is a polarizing evagelical christian who hates everybody. God forbid he should be given a public platform for hate mongering and offensive rhetoric. A 60 second platform to pray? No Way!

Isn't it something how Rep. Barney Frank and others have completley flipped over this? The media has had a field day reporting how offended the gay community is and Rep Barney Frank himself has stated that many in Congress and the Senate do not agree with Pastor Warren and his ideology.

Amazing. Regardless of Barak Obama's motivation for selecting Pastor Warren it never ceases to amaze me how ridiculous and doubled tongued the left really are. When word started getting around about Barak Obama's Pastor Jeremiah Wright the media covered it but the liberal left were silent. That's right. Where was Rep Barney Frank? Where was Nancy Pelosi and other left minded libs? Nowhere to be found.

Hate speech? Racism? Anti-American speech? Twisted truths? Lies made over to be truth? Pastor Warren? No. Rev. Jermiah Wright? Yes. I will not take the time to rehash the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's garbage other than to say you can find it for yourself. This is all further proof that it really is simple.

The liberal left has no common sense, they hate what is right, they hate Christianity and they hate what this country was founded on: morals and principles. It is about common sense.

Doing a duty

One of the key differences between liberals and conservatives has to do with how each views the military. The last thing I would want to do is politicize the death of a soldier. In no uncertain terms do I want to "use" the death of a soldier or exploit the death of a soldier. I have the highest respect for our military.

I have a cousin in the Marines right now, I could not be prouder of him and he has served a tour in Iraq. I have other friends and family who are serving or have served in the military. I believe in the United States Navy, Marines, Air Force and Army.

On April 22, 2008 Lance Cpl. Jordan Haeter, 19, and Cpl. Jonathan Yale, 21 had just started their shift manning the front entrance to the military compound in Ramadi, Anbar Province in Iraq. The sun had just started to rise when a 20-foot-long truck headed toward their gate, weaving between the concrete barriers. The two sentries tried to waive off the truck. Two Iraqi Police Officers assigned with them turned and ran, other Iraqi Police on the adjacent street ran as well.

Video footage would later reveal what happened this morning of April 22, 2008. Both soldiers opened fire, the truck slowed but kept coming. Within a few dozen feet of the main gate the truck exploded. Military investigators would later conclude the truck was loaded with 2,000 pounds of explosives. The driver was determined to commit suicide and murder several American soldiers and Iraqis who were staying in the compound.

Neither serviceman attempted to run, both soldiers held their ground and never stopped firing their weapons as the truck raced towards them. Major General John Kelly said this, "No time to talk it over, no time to call the lieutenant; no time to think about their own lives or even the American and Iraqi lives they were protecting. More than enough time, however, to do their duty. They never hesitated or tried to escape." The entire incident lasted only 6 seconds.

These two fine and yes, young men, lost their lives. Some will argue "they never should have been there" or "they died for no reason" or "they died for a lie" or "they were too young to die".
Some may argue what they wish about why our American soldiers are in Iraq. Fine. Keep this in mind: they died saving the lives of their fellow American soldiers. They did their duty.

Our American Military men and women are trained to do one thing - put their lives on the line for their fellow Americans. Let us never forget the price that was paid to establish this great country, politics aside. Let us never forget that it is our military that goes before us, regardless of politics to keep America safe and secure.

I pray for the families of Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter and Cpl. Jonathan Yale. I pray that God will do only what he can do for these families and bring them peace.

There is but one price for freedom and it is paid for in blood. John 3:16

Real Tax Breaks?

President Elect Obama has promised tax cuts for 95% of Americans. Wonderful promise. Like a good accountant he wants to decrease taxes for average America but wants to actually increase government spending. Sounds like a good plan. It is also no secret that he wants to tax big corporations and certainly tax oil companies.

It seems to me, and please for any liberal out there, correct me if I am wrong but...

If Obama indeed taxes big companies and big oil companies, where do you think they will pass on their expenses? Let's see, Obama cuts taxes for us, creates greater taxes for industry all across America, creates greater government spending and where will that leave average Americans?

We will still carry the brunt of excessive government spending, maybe indirectly but rest assured if industry and corporate America see increases in their taxes it will get passed on to the consumer. Wonderful.

Folks, this isn't nuclear science it is simple economics. It doesn not take a degree to figure this out. Greater government spending means one thing = higher taxes period.
